Terms of Service

Jet Mentis Partners, LLC · Youngsville, Louisiana · academy.jetmentis.com
Effective date: October 21, 2026

1. About these terms

These Terms of Service ("Terms") are the agreement between you and Jet Mentis Partners, LLC ("Jet Mentis," "we," "us"). They cover your use of the Jet Mentis Academy at academy.jetmentis.com and any program you enroll in through it, including the Jet Mentis Charter Foundation and the Jet Mentis Certified Broker™ (JMCB) program.

By creating an account, enrolling, or completing a purchase, you agree to these Terms. If you don't agree, please don't enroll.

We've tried to write these in plain English. Where a term is legal in nature, we've said what it means in practice.

Other documents that are part of this agreement:

  • The JMCB Certification Agreement & Use-of-Mark Rules. This governs the credential itself once it is issued: what it means, how you may use the JMCB name and marks, its 24-month term, renewal, and revocation. You accept it when the credential is issued. Where it and these Terms both address the credential, the Certification Agreement controls.
  • The Jet Mentis Code of Broker Conduct, which certificants agree to follow.
  • Our Privacy Policy, which explains what information we collect and how we use it.

2. Who can enroll

  • You must be at least 18 years old and able to enter a binding contract.
  • Each account belongs to one person. Your login, your course access, your exam attempts and your credential are yours alone. Please don't share your login or let anyone else use your account.
  • The information you give us, including your legal name, must be accurate. The name on your account is the name that will appear on your credential.
Enrollments can't be transferred. An enrollment you buy for yourself is yours alone. You can't give, sell, swap or transfer it to another person.

If a company pays for your enrollment: the seat is still personal to you. The company is paying for your access; it does not own your exam results or your credential. There is one exception to the no-transfer rule: a company that bought seats for its staff may ask us, in writing, to reassign a seat to another member of its staff, but only before the person first enrolled on that seat has started any module exam. Only the purchasing company can make that request. Once the first module exam has been started, the seat stays with that person.

3. What your enrollment includes

Jet Mentis Charter Foundation. Your tuition covers:
  • The 14 self-paced modules, with their lessons, exercises and module exams
  • The Broker's Trip Kit
  • Hangar Talk, the live session on Zoom, and its recordings
  • The capstone, The Complete Charter Mission, graded by hand with written feedback, including a second mission if your first one is not passed
  • Updates to the course material as rules, platforms and practices change
What the Foundation is not. The Foundation is professional education, not a certification. Completing it does not award, guarantee or count toward the JMCB credential. The JMCB is earned separately on its own written and oral exams, for its own fee. Any certificate of completion confirms only that you completed the course.

Foundation access. Your Foundation access does not expire. It includes future updates and Hangar Talk for as long as the Foundation is offered on the Academy.

Hangar Talk recordings. Hangar Talk sessions are recorded and posted inside the course for enrolled students. By joining a session, you agree that your name, voice and video may appear in those recordings. You may keep your camera off.

Jet Mentis Certified Broker (JMCB). For the JMCB program, your enrollment fee covers:

  • Access to the eight JMCB modules and their lessons
  • The eight module exams, with two attempts at each as described in Section 5
  • One oral evaluation with a JMCB evaluator, once all eight module exams are passed
  • Issuance of the JMCB credential if your oral evaluation is satisfactory
Your enrollment fee does not cover:

  • An oral retest after an unsatisfactory oral evaluation. That carries a separate fee (see Section 5).
  • Re-certification when your credential's term ends. Re-certification is a separate program with its own fee, which we will publish before any credential's first term expires.
  • Any other Jet Mentis Academy course.
Founding-member pricing applies only to the enrollment described above. It is a price for the initial certification. It does not fix the price of re-certification, retests, or any future course.

JMCB course access. The program is self-paced, and there is no deadline to finish. Your access continues while the program is offered on the Academy. If you earn the credential, you keep access to the course material. We may update, reorganize or replace content at any time (see Section 9).

4. Price and payment

  • Prices are shown in U.S. dollars on the Academy at the time of purchase. The price you pay is the price shown at checkout.
  • Payments are processed by Stripe. We do not see or store your full card number.
  • If any sales or similar tax applies, it will be shown at checkout.
  • Coupon codes and offers apply only as stated, cannot be combined unless the offer says so, and have no cash value. A limited offer, such as a capped number of founding-member seats, ends when the cap is reached.

5. How assessment works

We state the rules here, in the agreement you accept before you pay, so there are no surprises later.

The written stage. Each of the eight modules ends with a 20-question exam. You need 16 of 20 (80%) to pass. Each exam has a 45-minute time limit and two attempts. After a second unsuccessful attempt, there is a two-day waiting period, after which your attempts reset. Once you pass a module exam, it cannot be retaken. After an attempt, you will see your score and which questions you missed, but not the correct answers.

The oral evaluation. Passing all eight module exams makes you eligible to book the oral evaluation, which lasts about an hour and is conducted by video call with a JMCB evaluator. The oral is where the credential decision is made. The evaluator assesses a set of defined areas and finds each one satisfactory or unsatisfactory. An unsatisfactory finding in any single area means the oral is unsatisfactory.

A booking made before all eight module exams are passed will be cancelled. There's no penalty; you can book again once you're eligible.

If the oral is unsatisfactory. You will receive a written notice of disapproval naming each area found unsatisfactory. A retest covers only those areas. Areas already found satisfactory stay satisfactory. The earliest a retest can take place is two days after the notice, and the actual date depends on evaluator availability. The oral retest fee is $300 per retest, paid before the retest is scheduled. The fee does not increase for later retests.

Evaluator judgment. Oral findings are a professional judgment made against the published areas and standards. They are recorded in writing the same day. If you believe a finding was made in error, you may ask for a review in writing within 14 days of the notice, and a review will be conducted by someone other than the original evaluator where one is available. The result of that review is final.

Recording. An oral evaluation is recorded only if you agree to it before it begins.

6. Exam integrity

The credential only means something if everyone earns it the same way. By enrolling, you agree that:

  • You will complete every exam, the oral evaluation and the Foundation capstone yourself, without another person's help.
  • You will not copy, record, screenshot, share, post or sell exam questions, answer options or oral scenarios, during or after your enrollment, and you will not use material someone else has shared.
  • You will not misrepresent your identity or let anyone sit an exam or evaluation for you.
If we find a breach of this section, we may void the affected results, suspend or end your enrollment without a refund, and refuse or revoke the credential. We will tell you what we found and give you a chance to respond before a final decision, except where the facts are clear on their face.

7. Refunds

Jet Mentis Charter Foundation
  • Within 14 days of purchase, as long as you have not passed the Module 1 exam, opened any Module 2 lesson, or attended a Hangar Talk session: a full refund on request.
  • After 14 days, or once you have done any of those things: no refund. By then you have had real access to the program material, and it can't be returned.
  • Founding seats. A refunded founding seat returns to the founding pool. The founding price is not guaranteed if you enroll again later.

Jet Mentis Certified Broker (JMCB)
  • Within 14 days of purchase, and before you have started any module exam: a full refund on request.
  • After you have started any module exam, or after 14 days: no refund, because the assessment is what you are paying for and it has begun.
  • The $300 oral retest fee: refunded in full if you cancel at least 48 hours before the scheduled retest. Inside 48 hours, or if you don't attend, the fee is kept.

For both programs
  • Billing errors and duplicate charges are always refunded in full.
  • If we cancel or permanently withdraw a program before you have had a fair chance to finish it, we will refund you in proportion to what you have not received.
  • Pay-later purchases. If you paid with Klarna or Afterpay, the refund goes to that provider, which adjusts or cancels your remaining installments under its own terms.
How to request a refund: email adam@jetmentis.com with your name and the email address on your account. We will acknowledge your request within two business days. Approved refunds go back to the original payment method, and your bank may take several days to post them.

A refund ends your enrollment. When a refund is issued, your access to the program and any results in it are removed. A refunded founding-member seat is not guaranteed to be reissued.

8. The credential

The Jet Mentis Charter Foundation does not issue a credential. This section applies to the JMCB only.

If your oral evaluation is satisfactory, we issue the Jet Mentis Certified Broker™ credential in your name. When it is issued, you accept the JMCB Certification Agreement & Use-of-Mark Rules, which govern the credential from that point on. In short:

  • The credential lasts 24 months from the date of issue and is renewed through re-certification before it expires.
  • It is personal to you and cannot be transferred.
  • You may use the JMCB designation only as the Certification Agreement allows, and only while your credential is current.
  • We may suspend or revoke the credential on the grounds set out in the Certification Agreement, including violations of the Code of Broker Conduct and misuse of the designation.
What the credential is not. It is a private professional credential issued by Jet Mentis Partners. It is not a government license, an FAA certificate or authorization, or a DOT approval, and it does not authorize anyone to arrange, sell or conduct air transportation.

9. Educational content, not advice

The program cites the Federal Aviation Regulations, FAA guidance, IRS rules and other sources throughout. Those citations are there so you can see where each principle comes from and go to the source yourself. They are educational references, not legal advice.

Nothing in the program, including the lessons, the exams, the oral evaluation or the JMCB credential itself, is legal, tax or regulatory advice, and none of it creates an attorney–client or advisory relationship with Jet Mentis Partners. Regulations change, FAA and IRS interpretations evolve, and how a rule applies to a particular trip depends on facts the program can't see.

When a decision turns on what the law requires, check the current regulation at ecfr.gov, confirm it in writing with the operator, and for anything with real legal or financial exposure, talk to an aviation attorney or tax professional.

Content changes. Because the regulations change, we update the program. We may revise lessons and exams at any time. Content is current as of when it was written, and we don't promise every page reflects a rule change the day it happens.

10. Our content, and how you may use it

All program material, including lessons, exams, oral scenarios, videos, documents, and the Jet Mentis and JMCB names and marks, belongs to Jet Mentis Partners or its licensors.

We give you a personal, non-transferable license to access and use the material for your own professional development while your enrollment is active. You may keep notes for your own use. You may not copy, republish, sell, distribute or use the material to train others or to build a competing course or credential.

11. No guarantee of results

We'll teach the material and assess it fairly. We can't promise outcomes that depend on you, your clients, operators or the market. Completing the program or earning the credential does not guarantee employment, income, business, client or operator acceptance, or protection from regulatory action.

12. Limitation of liability

The program is provided "as is." To the fullest extent the law allows:

  • We are not liable for indirect, incidental, consequential or lost-profit damages arising from the program or the credential.
  • Our total liability to you for any claim relating to the program is limited to the amount you paid us for the enrollment the claim relates to.
  • We are not responsible for the decisions you make in your own brokerage business, including decisions made with information from the program.
Some jurisdictions don't allow certain limits on liability. Where that applies, these limits apply as far as the law permits.

13. Indemnity

You agree to hold Jet Mentis harmless from claims arising from your breach of these Terms, your misuse of the JMCB designation, or your own conduct as a broker.

14. Ending your enrollment

You may close your account at any time by emailing us. Refunds are governed by Section 7.

We may suspend or end your enrollment if you breach these Terms, including Section 6 (exam integrity), or if you use the Academy unlawfully. Sections 6, 8 through 13, and 15 continue to apply after your enrollment ends.

15. Disputes and governing law

If you have a problem, please email us first. Most things can be sorted out quickly, and we'll try in good faith to resolve any dispute informally within 30 days before either of us takes it further.

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Louisiana. Any legal proceeding relating to these Terms or the program will be brought in the state or federal courts serving Lafayette Parish, Louisiana, and you and we consent to that venue.

16. Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. The current version will always be posted on the Academy with its effective date. Changes apply from that date, but they will not change the price you already paid or the assessment rules in place for an enrollment you have already started.

17. General

  • If any part of these Terms is found unenforceable, the rest still applies.
  • Our not enforcing a term right away doesn't waive it.
  • You may not transfer your rights under these Terms. We may transfer ours as part of a sale or reorganization of the business.
  • These Terms, together with the documents listed in Section 1, are the whole agreement between us about the Academy.
